Graphene Frontiers market atmospheric-pressure grown CVD (APCVD) graphene for use in displays, touch screens, and thermal management solutions. Unlike conventional CVD, APCVD does not require high vacuum and high temperatures, reducing the cost while increasing the quality and consistency of the graphene. Currently, the major source of revenue for the company are graphene-coated transmission electron microscope (TEM) grids, targeting the R&D market. The company has invested in process licensing, and expects revenues from fees and royalties to overtake product sales as the major source of revenue in 2013. Special interest is devoted to display technology and the company is actively developing partnerships in this direction.
Graphene Frontiers plans to raise Series A financing in Q1, 2013. The company is actively seeking new opportunities for revenue (material sales, sponsored research, process licensing) and partners for production and application development.
