Nokia, the portable device giant, is investing in graphene. The Nokia Research Center is part of the team bidding for the EU-funded Graphene Flagship project, which will bring researchers and industry together to commercialize graphene. Nokia is investing heavily in graphene research, accompanied by a few interesting patents. Unfortunately, it is unlikely that any of the applications will make it to the market on time to save Nokia from the consequences of their poor business strategy, and we cannot recommend to invest in Nokia stock right now. Wait until they sell some parts of the company and focus on graphene-based cameras.
