DAYTON, Ohio—(May 7, 2013) David Burton has been named executive vice-president of Angstron Materials Inc. With more than 19 years of experience in the nanomaterials industry, Burton was selected for the position due to his proficiency in processing methods, commercial scale manufacturing, product development and regulatory requirements and standards.
Burton has held key positions in research and development, production and quality control for Applied Sciences, Cedarville, Ohio. He is credited with transistioning carbon nanofiber technology from the laboratory to commercial scale production and implementing a first-of-its-kind quality control program to support full-scale manufacturing.
In his new position, Burton will manage business development and marketing activities for the Americas and Europe. He will coordinate day-to-day operations at Angstron’s headquarters location in Dayton, Ohio and oversee commercialization efforts for the manufacturer’s graphene technology. Burton also will handle regulatory compliance for the company’s production operations.
Burton is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati. He holds five patents and contributed to more than 40 publications.
